Habit tracker app
BeHabitual
A free habit tracker that counts each habit the way you actually do it, then shows you which days slip.

Overview
The problem, and how I solved it.
The challenge
Most habit trackers give you one box per day. That works for a run and fails for eight glasses of water, a 25 minute focus block, or the thing you are trying to stop doing.
And a grid of ticks only tells you what happened. It does not tell you why the same days keep slipping.
The approach
Four kinds of habit, each counted the way it is done: yes or no, a number to reach, a timer that runs inside the app, and an avoid habit you confirm each day you held.
Every habit has its own schedule, so a gym habit set for four days a week is not marked down on the other three, and a rest day when you are ill does not end the run.
After a few weeks the app turns the grid into patterns worth acting on, such as which weekday slips and how sleep sets up the next day. Sign in with Google, export everything as CSV, no card needed.
